When your child becomes ill or gets hurt at night or on the weekend, you don’t want to have to choose between high-quality care and convenience. At GHS Children’s Hospital and our sick care locations, we have both.

Staffed by pediatric providers, Children’s Hospital After-hours Care (located in Greenville) and Children’s Hospital Spartanburg Night Clinic (located in Spartanburg) are open to ALL pediatric patients when your regular doctor is not available, regardless of where you go for your child’s routine care.

These locations provide convenient care for all children ages 0-18 with unexpected illnesses and injuries such as …

  • Flu-like symptoms, colds or fever
  • Respiratory infections
  • Intestinal problems (vomiting, nausea, diarrhea)
  • Cuts and simple wounds
  • Infections such as sinus, ear or urinary tract
  • Rashes and minor allergic reactions

Children’s Emergency Center

The Children’s Emergency Center (CEC) of Greenville Health System cares for children with a serious illness or injury who cannot wait to be seen by their regular doctor (or have been referred by their doctor for an emergent condition). It is a separate facility for children from birth to 17 years of age staffed by pediatric emergency trained physicians, nurses, technicians and child life specialists. The CEC is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
