This Is How I Roll is a helmet project aimed at increasing helmet use, particularly in children, and therefore reducing bike-related injuries. To do this, we’re partnering with local businesses and community members to encourage and reward kids who make the safe and easy choice to wear a helmet. Click here to learn about Helmet Rewards.

As Greenville County continues to become more and more of a cycling community, we’ve seen more people take to their bikes as a fun way to exercise and get around town. With more people using their bikes, it’s only natural that we’ve also seen an increase in bike-related injuries.

  • Bike helmets reduce head injuries by 85 percent and brain injury by 88 percent. (Safe Kids Worldwide)
  • In the past 6 years, bicycle head and face traumas have increased by 47% in Greenville County. (Greenville Health System)
