Children and Families receiving services in Children’s Hospital can expect:

  • Educational services providing continuity for the child’s schooling;

  • Continuous monitoring and evaluation of the quality and appropriateness of care;
  • Diet and nutritional education appropriate for the age of the child;
  • Caregivers who posses knowledge and empathy of childhood chronic illnesses; and who, in the event of death, can offer appropriate resources;
  • Caregivers who provide education and/or referral for health maintenance and disease and illness prevention;
  • Information to be communicated by caregivers in a manner appropriate to the family’s level of understanding;
  • Comfortable and private family areas for communication with health care professionals.
