Frequently Asked Questions and General Information

"Pediatric Gastroenterology"


  • If the parent and or legal guardian are not able to bring the child to a follow up appointment, a note must be provided from the parent or legal guardian giving permission for the escort to participate in the clinical visit.  We require a telephone number where you can be reached at all times should we need to speak with you during the child's visit.

     
  • Please update our office of any insurance, address and or telephone changes upon arrival to our office.


  • Our office requires that you present your insurance card at every visit and your required co-pay will be expected when checking out.  For those who do not have a co-pay listed on their insurance card minimum of $25.00 is required at the visit.


  • We require a minimum of 24 hours notice for all appointment cancellations. Failure to provide this notice will results in a no-show on your appointment record.  After repeated no-show visits, you may be discharged from the practice.


  • Phones messages for the nurse will be returned as quickly as possible, but due to high volume may take up to 24 hours.  Please leave only one message per day when calling the office. In your message, please be sure to spell the child's first and last name along with their date of birth. When leaving a message for our nurses, please make sure to leave a working phone number that can be reached at any time.
     
  • Our on-call physicians may return your call with a blocked number.  If your phone does not accept blocked numbers, you will need to disable this feature when waiting for a call from our on-call physicians.  Otherwise, they may not be able to reach you.


  • Please make every effort to obtain your child's prescriptions at the time of the visit.  However, should you need a refill prior to your next appointment please call our office @ 864-454-5125.


  • All prescription refill needs must be requested with adequate notice; we are not able to provide emergency refills. Please do not have the on-call physician paged for refill requests as they will not be able to assist you.
