Newborn services at the Children's Hospital provide daily care for newborn infants, thanks to our team of physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers, and physical and occupational therapists. Breastfeeding promotion and support are key initiatives of this area.
The newly renovated nursery is located in close proximity to the state-of-the-art NICU, making referrals a simple matter for children who require more intensive care. An intermediate care nursery also is available.
In addition, follow-up services are available through the High-risk Infant Clinic, Newborn Follow-up Clinic, and Infants of Teen Mothers Clinic, coordinated by the Children's Hospital Center for Pediatric Medicine.
