Buddy’s Home Safety House

The safety house is an award-winning mobile home-safety exhibit that covers many topics such as fire prevention, fall prevention and medication safety.

Upstate Cribs for Kids

Upstate Cribs for Kids, through community partners, provides parents with safe sleep education, portable cribs and information on safe infant sleeping environments.

Life Jacket Loaner Boards

Safe Kids Upstate, Duke Energy, the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources and the Keese Family Foundation have established loaner boards at Oconee County lakes. These boards offer directions for fitting a life jacket. Life jackets in various sizes are available that families can use and return.

Sports Safety

Safe Kids Upstate provides easy-to-use tools to help parents, coaches and young athletes identify and understand common sports injuries and how to prevent them.

Bike Safety

Events such as Bike to School Day, bike rodeos and bike helmet fittings raise awareness and offer families safety information about bicycling and other wheeled sports.

Pedville is an interactive model Safety Town that encourages walking as an effective, safe and easy form of exercise.
