Located in the Center for Pediatric Medicine of Children’s Hospital, the
Adolescent Clinic provides diagnostic and therapeutic services to
adolescent patients. Preventive services are emphasized for both
medical and emotional problems. A multidisciplinary approach to health
is accomplished through cooperative efforts with the departments of
pediatrics, social services, obstetrics and gynecology, internal
medicine, and psychiatry.
Children’s Hospital expresses
commitment to a child’s good health through a variety of outpatient
programs designed to meet the special medical needs of children.
Adolescent patients receive diagnostic and therapeutic services in the
Adolescent Clinic. Emphasis is placed on routine healthcare maintenance
and includes psychosocial, dietary and medical interventions. Evaluation
and follow-up of children alleged to have been physically and/or
sexually abused also are available. Telephone consultations are welcomed
as are referrals from community-based physicians.
